FUDPUCKER'S EIGHTY-FIRST GATOR! A RARE SIGHT!
Fudpucker’s in Destin is thrilled to announce the arrival of Mellow Yellow at Gator Beach. Mellow Yellow is one of the 100 LIVE alligators to make her home at Fudpucker’s gator attraction, Gator Beach.

Mellow Yellow arrived in Destin from Tampa, to her new home in a 10 ½’ x 4’x 6’ aquarium on the deck at Gator Beach. She is considered a “rare yellow alligator” states Gerald Hobby, an alligator conservationist who brought us all the alligators at Gator Beach. Yellow alligators are extremely rare with paler skin pigmentation than most American alligators. Hobby has worked with alligators in South Florida for 13 years. With exposure to over a million alligators, Hobby has never seen a reptile with this rare pigmentation like Mellow Yellow. Measuring in between three to four feet in length at about 14 pounds, Mellow Yellow was hatched with this skin condition 3 ½ years ago. Along with her light pigmentation, Mellow Yellow dons clear eyes and very light claws.

“Mellow Yellow is a truly unique and amazing reptile,” Brand Kroeger (A.K.A. The Gator Guy) said with excitement before one of his daily gator shows. Fudpucker’s invites the public to visit Mellow Yellow at her new home at Gator Beach. Be sure to visit Gator Beach’s new Fudtography Studio and get your picture taken while holding a live Gator!

Fudpucker’s has an on-going relationship with The Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge, donating 10% of the proceeds from the sale of gator food, everyday. Children and adults are encouraged to interact with the alligators through live gator shows and by feeding them a specially formulated “gator food.” The food is fed to the alligators via a fishing line attached to a cane pole. Enjoy free “Gator Shows” daily at Gator Beach.
